So my friend M. got a new dog. Let\'s call her \"Shakes\". Shakes is a sweetheart, but something of a terror\--chewing up furniture, digging holes in the yard, and clawing through the walls.\
\
M. is a gentle soul, kindhearted, and all about plants, horses, cats, and now Shakes. She adores Shakes.\
\
Recently, she posted a video of some baby otters chirping. \"Shakes ears perk up whenever she hears this. Or any baby animals, really. She\'s so attentive! She\'d make a good mama someday, so motherly.\"\
\
Which is when I pipe up \"Or she likes to eat babies!\"\
\
I know M. commented in return, but I don\'t know what she said, as the post has since disappeared.\
\
I fear the worst.
