# Annika O'Brien Men can, of course, have female friends. What I'm...

Annika O'Brien Men can, of course, have female friends. What I'm talking about is the circumstance where a man has been pursuing a woman, and has been told that she wants to be "just friends", aka she's not attracted to him. Expecting him to continue to put the same amount of time and effort into the relationship is ureasonable. It may also require time away from her, in order to allow his feelings for her to fade. I would also point out that you're trivializing and mocking men's needs/desires, which I don't think you would do to a woman who expressed displeasure at being treated as a booty call.
