I realize it's pure speculation, but do you think Zack Snyder realizes that his plots suck? Or that he doesn't care? It's so frustrating to see such beautiful cinematography in the service of such terrible plots. If I were consistently getting feedback that my writing was sub-par, I'd try to collaborate with someone who consistently received praise for the quality of their screenplays.
