George Wiman "Hunger is the best seasoning."  -- Ken Follett. When I was in scouts, we went on a 20 mile hike in mid-August to earn our hiking merit badge.  The black cherry Coke I drank at the end was the best drink I've ever had. I suspect that after a 9-day fast, even iceberg lettuce would've tasted delicious to you.
