With the continued development of CRISPR, polygenic risk screening, artificial wombs, robo nannies, gene banking, I expect that humans will become ever more beautiful, stronger, smarter, longer lived, etc.\
\
Concomitantly, artificial intelligence / robots will grow in intelligence, durability, robustness, decentralization. Brain imaging and neuroscience will advance to the point that we can \"run\" a human level intellect on advanced robots.\
\
IMO, in the long run, man and machine will merge into beings that will seem as gods to us now.\
\
It won\'t be utopia, as the goddess of entropy always takes her tribute. Macro-parasites, such as government, will continue to evolve. New horrors, like mind surveillance, accelerated time prisons, synthetic brain worms, and most Black Mirror episodes will likely come true in some form.\
\
But I don\'t think we should lose hope. Humanity is in a far better place now than we\'ve been at any time in our history. Historically, the optimists have a better track record of prediction\--Peak Oil didn\'t happen, billions of people didn\'t starve to death, and humans have readily adapted to changing climate conditions.\
\
Nature may be a blind watchmaker, but humans are not. And we can now direct our own evolution.
